More About Lindsey

From The Golden Coast to The Big Apple…

Lindsey started her theatrical journey in Santa Clarita, CA. She began in her town’s local children’s theatre as an actor, where she would often get in trouble for correcting fellow cast members when they misspoke dialogue. It was essential to her, even from a young age, that the story was told with impact the script deserved. It wasn’t until she attended Chapman University that she decided to shift her focus permanently to directing, and dramaturgy soon followed.

Then came the pandemic and a major life shift as she moved to New York City to pursue her MFA at the Actors Studio Drama School. It was at this time that she found her voice and committed herself to poetic and metaphorical staging, particularly as it related to stories about mental health. She has continued to be a fierce advocate for the mental health community, hoping to create theatre that provides hope to those who find themselves in insurmountable circumstances.

She currently lives in Brooklyn with her rescue-dog, Niles. In her free time, she plays Dungeons and Dragons and writes YA fantasy novels (she’s currently working on her seventh out of a nine-book series). She also spends her free time tutoring K-12 children in English and Theatre.
